GRiP is pleased to draw your attention to the programme of the Fifth International Masterclass in Foundation in Paediatric Pharmaceutical Care, organised by the Evelina Children's Hospital in London. 

 

The class will take place between 15th and 17th October 2015 at the Evelina Children's Hospital.

 

GRiP offers support to Evelina Children's Hospital in organising the conference, together with the International Alliance for Better Medicines for Children.

• Designed and developed by the paediatric pharmacy team at Evelina London Children's Hospital, the course will cover:

 

Course Content

Paediatric clinical problems and their management:  from general to more specialised care
Strategies to make your paediatric practice safer and more effective
Development of treatment guidelines
Age-appropriate Paediatric Formulations:  compounding, safer purchasing and administration
Worldwide initiatives for improving medicines for children

 

Format

This highly practical masterclass will share examples of good practice and team work by combining case studies, forum theatres and role plays as well as lectures.  A highlight of this course is patient case reviews at the hospital bedside in small groups.

Who should attend?
This masterclass is intended primarily for all those pharmacists with an interest in paediatric pharmaceutical care. Places are limited due to the practical nature of the course, hence early booking is strongly advised.
